OSCAR MORALES Operations Manager
Oscar used to be our top Engineer working with the likes of Wieden & Kennedy, Deutsch, TBWA/Chiat Day, and Dailey & Associates, but his business instincts told him it'd be a good idea to hire engineers who were better than he was. Well, this paid off and elevated Juice to it’s current position. During his short-lived career as a talented young Engineer Oscar honed his abilities then once he gained some reputation, he persuaded Alex to sink all of his life savings into building a state-of-the-art facility in Santa Monica. After the completion of the facility and having established one of the best Mix teams in the city, Oscar has attempted to leave his post with Juice to begin a new stage in his life. While his applications for NFL head coaching positions have yet to pan out, his bad back and 72 mph fastball have also held him out of the right position with the Dodgers. Although the thriving facility and team keep Oscar happy for now, he’ll be sure to bolt as soon as the right franchise comes calling.
NATALIE PRANEVSKY JUICE's Welcome Wagon
Natalie rose up in the ranks at Juice from client services to production coordinator. Her career at Juice is a far cry from her studying of forensic anthropology at Chico State and working as a surgeon's assistant. After seeing her husband, a post production visual effects artist, at work, she saw some of the client services his company had and fell in love with post production work and the studio environment.
Natalie gets to play the role of hostess, scheduler, coordinator, and bouncer for all clients and prospective clients. Natalie's also served as a liaison between clients and JUICE and working closely with such companies as Dailey and Associates, the Phelps Group, Team One, and Deutsch.
Don't let Natalie's obsession with Harry Potter scare you, she's assured us that working with "Muggles" will not effect her work!
BRIAN MAGILL
Deciding to head West with just $99 in his pocket and a one-way ticket after college has proven to be the wisest decision that Brian has ever made. Brian's career quickly blew up as he worked in his own studio. His brilliant work got him jobs as a mixer for L.A. Studios, Zona Playa, and Margarita Mix.
Brian's been at JUICE since 2002 and he's a fixture in the studio, taking care of big-time clients such as Deutsch, TBWA/Chiat/Day, Disney, Dreamworks and MTV. Brian hasn't limited himself to just one part of the industry either, having worked in radio and TV commercials, music videos, animation, and episodic TV. Despite his impressive resume, Brian insists that the apex of his career was mixing two albums for the Greek pop band,"The Olympians."
BOB GREMORE
Bob admits that he is powerless over his addiction to new gear. His arrival at JUICE from Mike Recording Services has attracted a steady stream of loyal agency followers, looking to give their spots the kind of magical audio juice Bob brought to campaigns for Fox Sports, Lexus, Discovery Channel, Toyota, Volvo and many more. Bob hasn't limited himself to any one avenue of work though, having also finessed the audio on several prominent TV network's series promos and an Indie film or two.
Bob's illicit love affair with audio gear began in Missouri, where he spent his high school years inside various dark garages. Fortified by early gigs playing guitar in local bands, he moved to Los Angeles where he hoped to immerse himself in recording scenarios that didn't involve old paint cans, Dad's toolbox and a bunch of dusty bikes. Landing a job at LA Studios as an assistant engineer, he bonded with future JUICE mixing engineer Brian Magill, before moving on to hone his engineering chops at Margarita Mix.
SONIA CASTRO
The addition of Sonia Castro to Juice, brought over 20 years of audio experience to the table. During her distinguished career in audio, Castro has mixed sound for many high-profile TV projects and views her long-term client relationships as her greatest asset in the industry. For instance, she has mixed for both Jack in the Box and Carl's Jr. for more than a decade.
Following her early interest in audio, Castro worked stage crew in high school as "a great excuse to get out of classes. " She attended recording school at 17, landing her first job at the ripe age of 18 at a jingle house in Hollywood. Following a stint in sound production, Castro moved to Hollywood Recording, then left to launch Audio Banks. While there, Castro helped the facility to quadruple in size. Castro says she was attracted to Juice for its growth potential and the "added comfort" of both the newly built working space and its personnel.
BRUCE BUECKERT
Bruce grew up in Los Angeles with a zest for life and a passion for music. He played in a few local bands, recorded a few songs, and spent some quality time in the studio. He landed his first studio job at Studio 55 where he discovered his love of audio post production, the rest is history.
Bruce graced studios around town with his impeccable skills like Sound Services Inc. , Margarita Mix, Mike Recording Services, and Bennett Productions just to name a few. He even worked on a few Indie films. So whatever challenge you may bring, Bruce has probably seen it before.
ALEX ALBA / Founder Resource Manager
Alex Alba brings a lifetime of charm and advertising broadcast production experience to Juice. Having worked as a Producer, Director, Writer and Talent at virtually every studio in Los Angeles, this man knows what pleases advertising professionals in an Audio facility. He contributes a rare blend of production expertise, creative sensitivity, technical knowledge and business acumen. His “creative efficiency” approach permeates the work ethics of all Juice Team’s members. Each client receives unparalleled service, before, during, and after each session; nothing less than what you’d expect from top audio craftspeople… and an added measure to keep you inspired, too. Nothing pleases Alex more than hearing the heartfelt thank you from busy clients who achieved their goals on time, on budget, and with room to spare. His motto is “Great, let’s make it sound better!” And that’s the spirit of Juice.
MARCELA DUARTE Financial Whiz
When her dream to study linguistics at a prominent university in her native Prague didn't materialize, she opted to learn about languages on her own. Marcela set off across the Atlantic to get a hands-on experience of a whole new culture.
Ending up on the west coast of the US, in the mecca of cultural diverseness, was therefore no accident. She has been enjoying the LA scene ever since. Even though languages are still her passion, she realized that knowing the language of numbers can be just as exciting, if not more beneficial in terms of survival. Falling back on her previous education in accounting, she joined the JUICE team and took on the responsibility of making sure it's up and running financially. Marcela is a senior member of the JUICE family. In addition to being the financial whiz of JUICE, she frequently serves as the go-to gal, taking care of the day-to-day needs of the team. She's an invaluable part of the JUICE machine.
In her downtime you will probably find her planning her next ski trip; despite having lived under the So Cal sun for so long, she can't deny her Euro roots and would still prefer a weekend of skiing in Mammoth over a week on the beach in Cancun anytime.
JOANNA JASKULSKI
Joanna grew up in Arizona where she studied business management at Arizona State. Her love of art, culture, and music moved her out west where she had a short stint with fashion design. When her plan of becoming a rich and famous designer didn’t pan out, she went back to the drawing board. She is currently studying Accounting at UCLA. During her career, Joanna has worked in advertising, architecture, and public relations. Joanna handles the benefits, staffing, and accounting needs of the Juice team. . She is also our resident gourmet chef. She’s been known to cook a mean omelet. When you come in, ask to try her "Breakfast of Champions".
